Welcome to Wren’s Room!

Uncategorized November 20, 2008

We ripped out all of the carpet and moulding almost immediately after moving in. We then laid new hardwood floors (espresso stained Birch), installed wainscotting and new trim, as well as new electrical outlets, switches and a chandelier.

Martha Stewart pom pom kit from Michaels.

Rachel Ashwell tie dye crib bedding.

Wendy Addison antique glitter glass DREAM garland.

The doves are made out of Martha Stewart wrapping paper.

In stead of buying a change table we found this dresser on Craigslist for $20 and refinished it.

After: We sanded, primed and painted then added antique enamel numbers to add an little bit of whimsy.

GORG! perfect! I love it all…my babies had a bed just like that but it stayed brown…the white totally works in your house Holly. I wish I could get away with it even if for just a few days!

    One word: DREAMY!

Love the new “room tour” button-I can’t wait to see all of the transformations!

This is beautiful! My husband and I are doing our nursery right now, and I love so many of the touches you added. Do you mind sharing where the crib came from? I love how simply and vintage it looks… those big chunky cribs that I see all over are def. not for me.

I love it! I also love white! May I ask where the awesome white chair came from? Is it a glider? I love it! I am slowly but surely putting all of the pieces together for our baby girl’s nursery. (Due in September)

Hi Jess, it is actually from Ikea from about 2 years ago. It was being discounted so we scooped it up for a song at only $120! But definitely check them out because the Ektorp line is very similar. Congratulations on your new addition!

Your nursery is so sweet! I love the simple elegance of it all. I found you through Linda's Take a Bow Tuesday… wonderful job!

Must ask… did you use a special paint since the furniture was to be used in a baby's room? It turned out beautiful!

What a lovely nursery! May I ask what flooring you used? We're in the process of redoing our own living, and love this look! Well done!

Just recently found your blog and love it! Believe it or not, I actually saw those same enamel numbers that you placed on the chest of drawers, on a project somewhere else last month and googled and researched everywhere to find them, only to fail. Would you be willing to pass along where you found them? I'd be so appreciative!
